<aside> 👩💻 If you are not familiar with programming in Python, or programming at all, make sure to start working through our programming resources asap. Programming is a skill and requires time to learn. Make sure to start early. For the programme you will require
To do scientific computing it is also essential to be familiar with the libraries NumPy, Matplotlib and Pandas. However, since we will be working with IBM Qiskit in this programme, you will not need them during the Course Stage. (Depending on your chosen project you might need them in the Research Stage though!)
The Learn Programming section contains resources for each level. If you are curious to learn what a computer and the Internet actually are, we recommend you start with Introduction to Computers, the Internet and AI.

Make sure you have the required knowledge and skills down so you can take active part in the Course Stage. For the programme you will require
The Math for Quantum section contains resources for each, and for different levels. You are not required to work through every single course and book we have added, and you can use your own resources, too, of course. We are providing you with offers and guidance to help you. However, you need to make sure you have the required math down and be able to show us before the programme start. The specific requirements are listed for each topic. For students with a strong foundation in university level mathematics we have added graduate and post-graduate material on Functional Analysis and Mathematical Quantum Mechanics.
